Day #3 – Afternoon Fun In Rotorua

So, after a morning of exploring parks and enjoying the beautiful scenery that Rotorua has to offer it was time to head out for a bite to eat. We found a great restaurant called Cobb & Company. They have a nice bar and so we had a few beers while we filled up the tanks to get ready for the afternoon’s activities.

After lunch we headed to the 3D Trick Art Gallery. If you’ve never been to one of these places we recommend tipping a few beers and then heading over to one. It’s a lot of fun and the pre-game beers are sure to loosen you up to be your most creative and fun self.

The basic concept is that they set up these scenes you stand in and have someone take a photo. The resulting pic looks like you’re really in the 3D picture. We were like a bunch of big kids walking around and composing just the right juxtaposition to make the pictures look funny and unique. Yes, we definitely had a ball just playing and being big kids.

Here’s some of our favorites below:

After a fun afternoon and morning we headed back to the house to fix one last dinner here in Rotorua. We enjoyed an evening of lamb and steak cooked on the grill. Now it’s time to hit the hay and get ready for our trip to Waitomo tomorrow to visit the glow worm caves. Be sure to check back to see how our adventure continues.

Cheers,

Jilly & Dan
