Vuda Marina, Fiji

Vuda Marina is a place where many cruisers put their boats on the hard for cyclone season. They actually dig pits and put the boats in large pits. We decided to go back to New Zealand for the summer but we did spent some time here at the marina. The staff at the Boatshed Restaurant are really a lot of fun and we enjoyed hanging out there. The sunsets from the deck are incredible and if you like Mongolian Beef…this is THE place to get it. It’s served on a sizzling hot, cast iron plate and is one of our favorite dishes. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it!

Vuda is also just a short cab ride away from Lautoka, the Sugar City, so named because of the vast sugar processing plants there. Lautoka was a good place to provision and there are lots of marine stores and other parts stores if you need something to fix your boat.
