A Wonderful Gift

Anne Frank once said, “No one has ever become poor by giving.” The joy felt when you give to someone less fortunate is something that enriches every aspect of your life and at this time of year giving seems to be in the forefront of everyone’s minds. But, what if, instead of giving yet another necktie to your father or another ugly Christmas sweater to mom you gave them the gift of giving? What if you made a donation in their name to help children on the remote islands of Fiji to realize their dream of reading?

The Dazzler Crew is working very hard to raise money to help fill the empty bookshelves we’ve seen in these remote villages across the islands of Fiji and we can use all the help we can get. Currently, at $456 we’ve raise just a small portion of our goal of $3500. We know you all are busy with the holidays but we humbly ask you to consider making even a small donation. Do it in the name of someone you love and care about and let them experience the joy of giving. 100% of all donations will go to buying these books. In addition to buying books on our own we will also take care of all the expenses of getting them to the children. And, once delivered we will be posting photos and videos so you and your loved ones can see what a wonderful difference you’ve made in the world.

Thanks for your support!

Volcano Erupted On White Island In New Zealand

We wanted to take a couple moments out to let everyone know that we are safe and not anywhere near White Island. Of course this is a popular spot and a place we’ve considered sailing to next Spring but we’ll just have to see how that goes.

Currently the news here in New Zealand is saying that five are confirmed dead and at least thirteen are still missing. Among the missing are Americans, Australians, British, Chinese and New Zealanders. Search and Rescue is working diligently to try to locate the missing. This is certainly a tragic day here. We are keeping all of those involved in our prayers and ask you to as well.

The New Zealand Red Cross has a site where people can go to register that they are safe and also to register a missing person who may have been on the island. Here is the link:
