It took 25 days and a lot of hard work to get from Banderas Bay in México to Hiva Oa in the Marquesas but we made it. Here are some of our favorite images of this spectacular island.

It was an amazing journey!
After 25 days, this sight was one we truly enjoyed.
Just happy to smell terra firma!
Contemplating the previous 25 days and our accomplishment.
We’re checked into the country now. The officers even gave Dan their patches off their arms when he gave them one of his CHP patches.

Copra being dried.
My first tattoo! Celebrating our accomplishment. It has my daddy’s eyes looking from heaven overseeing our love, our crossing, the shellback experience and my love of water. The flower is a traditional Hiva Oa flower.
Dan’s tattoo took 5 hours!
He has so much meaning in his. His children, granddaughter, me, bravery, sun, sea, mana and more.

Mark…the owner of Make Make.
The French boat, Kirwit, that would have hit us if Dan hadn’t moved their stern anchor while the owner/captain was on shore. Then the captain tried to tell us it was illegal to take photos of them without permission. I only took them in the event they hit us.
