Kauehi in the Tuamotus is the first atoll we visited. Fortunately it was a pretty easy one with not too bad of a current. The water is the most beautiful we’d seen yet as Jilly was on the bowsprit seeing the bottom at over 100′!
We had the anchorage all to ourselves for the first couple of days which was truly wonderful and peaceful. We snorkeled but found the reef here to be in some distress. That said, it was still a fantastic visit!
